My American Girl...

It's hard to believe, but Ella is going to turn five years old on Wednesday. She's really excited, and has been asking everyone she meets if they want to come to her birthday....too cute! She had a nice surprise when we came home from the babysitter on Monday. Her present from Nana and Pa arrived! She knew it was coming, she helped pick out which one she wanted on the Internet. We picked one that looked the most like her. What do you think?

In other news, TJ is really making progress on the house. The kitchen walls are painted and the cabinets are installed. The upstairs drywall is coming along. I ordered our appliances and kitchen sink...we picked out the carpet and hard wood floor...we're still hoping to move in before November rolls around.

I have walls...

before i get to the walls....we have a new website, for a couple of reasons. reason 1 - i'm cheap. and the old website was expensive. we had it for free for one year, then it would have cost us a monthly fee to keep it. i didn't like the address that much anyway. reason 2 - i didn't update the website enough to pay for it anyway. reason 3 - this website is f-r-e-e. no promises that i'm going to update this one more often than the other though.

now lets talk walls. we have walls :) it's so exciting and strange at the same time. i used to walk into the mud room and see the entire floor plan. now i walk into the mud room and see the hall way. it's exciting to see the how the rooms are coming along. i'm starting to see where furniture will go, and how i'll (or my mom will) decorate.
